Zach Bickel BA ’09 earned his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Lutheran Physical Education from Concordia University Chicago in 2009.

Bickel was a four-year starter of the baseball team during his time as a Cougar. From the 2006-2009 seasons, Bickel collected a career batting average of .326, appearing in 175 games while starting in 164 of them. Bickel collected 224 total hits in 688 at bats with 132 RBIs. Bickel collected 54 stolen bases and saw a career fielding percentage of .946.

Bickel has his name in the highly prestigious record book in many areas such as career most games played (175), most at bats (688), most runs scored (173), most hits (224), most walks (87), and most stolen bases (54). He also sits in the top ten single-season records for most at bats (193) and most walks (33).

Bickel earned the first Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Man of the Year honors for Concordia University Chicago after helping to lead the team to their first NCAA regional appearance in 2009 after winning the conference tournament.
