Greg Michael BA ’99 earned his degree in history, theology and theological languages. He earned his MDiv in 2003 and STM in 2009 from Concordia Seminary St. Louis.
 
Michael lettered in men’s tennis for four seasons (1996-99). His 46-32 record were the most wins at first singles and tied for second in singles wins overall. Michael won the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference’s first singles and first doubles titles in 1997 and was honored as NIIC Player of the Year. In 1999, he won the first doubles championship and was named Co-NIIC Player of the Year.
 
Michael was the recipient of many scholar-athlete awards including the A.W. Gross Distinguished Senior Scholar Award in 1999 and conference All-Scholastic honors in 1998 and 1999. His highest honor came at the national level in 1999 when he was awarded a second-team at-large berth on the GTE Academic All-American team.
 
From 2000-2004, Michael played and coached with the tennis team at Concordia Seminary. He serves as pastor at Christus Victor Lutheran Church and Student Center in Athens, GA. He has been a coach for Campus Missionary Institute, chairman and program committee member for the LCMS Florida-Georgia district pastors’ conference, and volunteer for numerous community service projects.
