Thomas O. Faszholz, ’64, graduated with a master’s in theology from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and a master’s from Washington University, St. Louis in 1966.

            
Faszholz was dedicated to Concordia River Forest athletics from 1964 to 1999. He coached many sports including men’s basketball (1964-85), men’s tennis (1964-99), women’s tennis (1976-99), women’s basketball (1988-89), and men’s cross-country (1964-67).

            
Faszholz was honored as NIIC Coach of the Year for women’s tennis in 1997 and for men’s tennis in 1998. Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) twice honored him as Coach of the Year in 1995 and 1999. Faszholz led the men’s basketball team to two NCAA appearances (1964-65 and 1969-70) and one NAIA appearance (1973). His men’s basketball teams won two NIIC conference titles and eight CIT titles. His women’s tennis teams won nine titles while the men won eight.
