Dave Zemke, ’75, was a four-year letterman and two-year team captain in both football and track. His football honors included being selected twice to the All-NAIA squad and once to the All-American Lutheran Football Team. In track, Zemke claimed the conference championship in the discus in 1974 and 1975. Zemke was Concordia’s 1975 recipient of the A.W. Gross Senior-Scholar award.

            
Zemke has coached football and track for over 25 years at both Walther Lutheran High School and Luther North High School. He has chaired the Walther Board and both the Board of Education and Board of Stewardship for St. Paul Lutheran Church of Melrose Park.
