Jason Shambo BA ’04, MBA ’11 earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing from Concordia University Chicago in 2004. He returned to complete a Masters of Business Administration in 2011.
Shambo was a four-year letter winner at CUC playing on the men’s soccer team from 2001-04. Shambo was part of CUC’s first-ever NCAA-sponsored men’s soccer team in 2001. During his playing career, Shambo recorded 84 points, 36 goals, and 12 assists. As of June 2022, Shambo owns the program records for career points (84), goals (36), and assists (12). He also owns the individual season records in points (39), and goals (18). Additionally, Shambo owns the single-game records in points (8) and goals (3).
The men’s soccer team saw exponential growth during Shambo’s career capped off in 2004 when the team finished with a program-best 20 points (6 wins, 2 ties). Shambo played a large part in the 2003 team’s offensive success, where the team scored a program-best 45 goals in a single season.
