Courtney (Lofink) Castillo ’18 earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University Chicago in 2018.

Castillo was a four-year starter of the women’s basketball team during her time as a Cougar. She has her name in the record book in many areas such as single game assists (13), single game steals (12), season field goal percentage (.566), season assists (177), season steals (113), career assists (577), and career steals (400). Castillo also sits in the top ten in many categories of the record book. Castillo set the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) record for career steals and assists as well as single-season assists and steals.

Castillo was also a two-year member of the track and field team where she went on to be a national qualifier the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in the 4x400m relay. Castillo was the second leg in the relay that would go on to finish in sixth place with a time of 3:46.29, which earned her All-American status and set a school and conference record that still holds today.

Castillo rounded out her career with a series of accolades and accomplishments highlighted with 2018 Track and Field All-American, 2017 NACC Defensive Player of the Year, and 2018 NACC Defensive Player of the Year honors.
