Dennis Meunier, ’70, played football for Concordia Teachers College where he took the role of starting quarterback during his junior and senior years. Meunier left a legacy at Concordia as he led the Cougars to a top 15 ranking in the nation for individual passing and total offense while also achieving two Lutheran All-American awards.

            
Meunier set numerous game, season and career records at Concordia. Single-game records included 19 pass completions, 272 yards passing, and 75 percent completion rate. Season records included 48 points, 57 percent completion rate, and passing yardage. Career records included 227 completions, 543 pass attempts, 51 percent completion rate, 3983 yards passing and 34 touchdown passes.

            
After Concordia, Meunier went on to coach football, women’s basketball and softball at St. John’s in Ocala, Florida. Meunier led all three teams to the district championship and the two women’s teams to the regional championship. Meunier then moved on to coach at North Madon and Forest High School in Ocala where the teams became district champions. While at Forest High School, he was awarded Coach of the Year honors in football.
