Khyree Copeland BA ’11, MA’14 earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and fitness management and his Master’s degree in sports leadership.
 
Copeland lettered in football between 2007 and 2010 and is the Cougars’ all-time leading rusher through 2015 with 3957 yards. He also holds career rushing records for attempts (680) and touchdowns (43). He is the only rusher in program history to average over 100 yards per game (104.1) including 21 of his 38 career games, nine of which in his senior season of 2010. That year Copeland set a season record with 1,566 rushing yards. His top single-game performances were a 333-yard game against Lakeland on Oct. 23, 2010 which included a 95-yard touchdown run and a 221-yard game at Aurora on Nov. 7, 2009.
 
Copeland earned second-team All-Illini-Badger Football Conference honors in 2007 and first-team All-Northern Athletics Conference honors over his next three years. Named the NAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2010, he was also selected a second-team All-North Region running back by D3football.com following a third-team honor in 2009. The play of Copeland led the Cougars to consecutive 8-2 seasons in 2009 and 2010, setting the school’s single-season record for wins at the time.
 
Copeland has served in the Special Education Department at Addison Trail High School in Addison, IL since 2013 and is completing a Master’s degree in Special Education with Grand Canyon University. He is an assistant football coach for Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL. He dedicates this honor to The Katie Kloess.
