David Schrader, ’65, lettered three times in basketball and baseball while at Concordia. He achieved great success on the basketball court when, in 1965, he was a member of the NCAA All-Star team, the All-CIT team, and the Lewis College All-Opponent team. Upon graduation, Schrader held three records at Concordia: most field goals in a game, most field goals in a season, and highest season average (21.3 ppg).

            
Schrader became a pastor after graduating from Concordia Seminary, Springfield, and has been a parish pastor for over 30 years. He has also given his time and efforts to the State Board of Lutheran Child and Family Services and chaired the Michigan District Ministerial Health Commission.
