Robert T. Rogalski BA ’65 received his degree in education and MS in educational administration from the University of New Orleans.
Rogalski lettered in football four years as an offensive center and defensive lineman routinely playing both ways all four years. In one outing, Rogalski blocked two punts resulting in touchdowns winning the game (14-7). His teammates voted him co-captain of the 1962 and 1964 seasons. During his career, Rogalski was scouted by the NFL’s Chicago Bears.
He served as athletic director and coach at the Hong Kong International School and the American Embassy School in New Delhi, India. Upon returning to the United States, Rogalski led Eltingville Lutheran School in Staten Island, NY and St. Paul – First English Lutheran in New Orleans, LA as principal. He was one of the first Lutheran administrators to receive the National Distinguished Principal award from the U.S. Secretary of Education while serving Martin Luther School in Phoenix, AZ. In 1997, Rogalski established Joy Christian School in Glendale, AZ.
Rogalski has also authored two books, wrote the “Ask For It” newsletter for Lutheran schools, and assisted in organizing the Van Lunen Center in Grand Rapids, MI. He is founder and president of the Lutheran Schools Development Center in Sun City, AZ. Rogalski has consulted with more than 300 schools in marketing, development and starting Christian / Lutheran schools. His motto is: “The situation may be totally impossible, but it’s not serious.”
