Tim Schilling, ’84, lettered in cross-country and track for four seasons each, during which time he set numerous school records. As of 2003, he still holds the track records for the 1500 and 10,000 meters. In the cross-country record book, Schilling holds three of the top nine fastest times in the men’s five mile including second place (25:35).

            
Schilling qualified for cross-country nationals all four years, and he earned the honor of conference champion in 1982. In track, he was a three-time NIIC champion in the 800 meters and two-time NIIC champion in the 1,500 meters. He captured NAIA District Champion honors in the 800 and 1,500 in both 1982 and 1983.

            
Upon graduation, Schilling went to Michigan to serve as athletic director and teacher at St. John in Fraser and Bethlehem in Roseville. Since 1998, he has served in those capacities at St. Peter’s in Eastpointe.
