Kathy (Krohe) Gebhardt, ’96 – Gebhardt transferred to Concordia from Central Missouri State University and led the Cougar volleyball team as a middle hitter for the 1994-96 seasons. She was named the Northern Illinois-Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year in 1994 in leading the Cougars to a second-place finish. Gebhardt repeated the feat in 1995 while leading the Cougars to the conference title with a perfect 10-0 record. She was a first-team All-NIIC player in 1996 while ranking eighth nationally in blocks and eleventh in kills for NCAA Division III. Through 2009, Gebhardt is second in career kills with 1,188, and she continues to hold school records for most kills in a match (34) and career block assists (450).

Gebhardt taught at the elementary level in Minnesota while coaching high school and club volleyball. In 2003, she accepted a call to return to Concordia as the head coach for both volleyball and softball. She has led the Cougars to a combined 23-9 record in the first three seasons of Northern Athletics Conference play, and her 2006 team ranked fourteenth nationally in blocks per game.

In 2007, Gebhardt added the title of Senior Woman Administrator. Her accomplishments in that role include the implementation of the CHAMPS program for Concordia student-athletes.

Gebhardt earned her B.A. in elementary education from Concordia in 1996 and her M.S. in sport management from St. Cloud State University in 2003.
