Paul Ebert BA ’88 earned his bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in sociology from Concordia University Chicago in 1988.

Ebert was a two-sport athlete during his time at Concordia playing on the football and baseball teams. Ebert was most known for his play as an offensive tackle on the Cougar football team where he was a four-year starter. He is revered by former Head Football Coach Jim Braun BA ’71 as the best tackle he ever coached. At one point, with Ebert at tackle, the Cougars went 100 pass plays without allowing a single sack.

The 1987 All-Illini-Badger Conference Linemen of the Year, Ebert was an honorable mention All-American recognized for play that helped to lead Concordia to the 1987 conference championship. In addition to the 1987 team success, Ebert was part of the 1985 team that averaged over 400 yards per game. This record was a top-10 season ranking in Division III and still ranks in the top five in Concordia football history.
