Thomas Manske, ’70, was a member of the football and track teams for three years. He set two track records in 1967 in the 100-meter high hurdles and 400-meter relay. He would later coach football and basketball for St. Peter Lutheran School in East Detroit, Michigan from 1970 to 1977.


Manske went on from Concordia Teachers College to earn a master’s in education from Wayne State University. He moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico where he took up church leadership positions in various locations. Most recently, Manske has served as a director with the Puerto Rico Telephone Company.
