Stanley Tischer MA ‘87 earned his master’s degree in School Counseling from Concordia University Chicago in 1987.
Tischer came to CUC as a defensive coordinator and assistant wrestling coach where he led both teams while working as a resident director and Minister of the Gospel for 11 years. Tischer led the Cougar Football defense to be ranked fifth in the nation in pass defense during the 1988 season as the team only gave up one touchdown pass in the first eight games. He also worked with the kick return and the punt return teams where the latter put the Cougars in field position to score more than 20 touchdowns across two seasons.
As the assistant wrestling coach, Tischer helped the team be rated among the top NCAA Division III wrestling teams in the region and helped to produce several stand out performers including two All-Americans.
