CUC Welcomes Bucs for Weekend Tilt

RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Looking to get back in the win column, the Concordia-Chicago men's lacrosse team will play host Beloit College tomorrow afternoon.

Face off is set for a 1 p.m. start time, with live statistics will be available at cucougars.com/coverage.

Last Time Out...
The Cougars struggled after taking on MSOE earlier this week. Hunter Combe scored his second goal in as many games, which proved to be CUC's lone goal in the 21-1 loss. Jack Liskey finished the day with 18 saves in net.

A Look at the Bucs... Pushing to clinch a playoff berth, the Beloit Bucs are currently in fifth place among the Midwest Lacrosse Conference with a 6-6 overall record and 5-3 conference record. The Bucs have two scorers with 60+ points on the season, while David Kunczynski holds down the team from in between the pipes. This season, Kunczynski has 145 saves in his six wins, and an overall 45.6 save percentage.

In the Rankings... Freshman Boston Dumas has had an impressive rookie year, as he currently ranks 47th with a .623 face off winning percentage, nationally. Averaging 8.77 ground balls per game, the Utah native also ranks 20th among Division III, in that respective category. Among the Cougars, Dumas leads his squad with 114 ground balls, which is also good for number one in the MLC.

Liskey's Mask... With big expectations coming into his sophomore year, it took just one week for Jack Liskey to reclaim his throne. The week-two MLC Defensive Player of the Week has combined for 193 saves this season, ranking first among the Midwest Lacrosse Conference. During his four wins in net this season, Liskey has already become the winningest keeper in CUC's program history, along with helping the Cougars compete in their first ever overtime contest, earning the team's first MLC weekly honor and scoring his first collegiate career goal. Currently, Liskey ranks 20th nationally, averaging 14.85 saves per game as the sophomore has recorded double-digit saves in his last eight games, and reached double-digits in 11 of CUC's 13 games this season.
