CUC Travels to CUW For Final Road Test

RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- For their final road match of the regular season, the Concordia-Chicago men's lacrosse team will head to MLC rival, Concordia Wisconsin tomorrow morning to take on the Falcons.

Game time is slated for a 1 p.m. start time, with complete coverage available at cucougars.com/coverage.

Last Time Out... The Cougars struggled to gain momentum on offense earlier this week, ultimately falling 7-4 to Monmouth College. In the matchup, the Scots out shot the Cougars 45-22 and shut out CUC in the second half. The Cougars had five extra-man opportunities but struggled to capitalize on any. Despite the loss, Jack Liskey was solid in net, stopping 14 shots and finishing with a .667 save percentage.

A Look at the Falcons... This weekend will mark the third meeting all-time between CUC and CUW men's lacrosse programs. Overall, the Falcons hold the series at a 3-0 advantage while holding the Cougars to no more than two goals scored during a single meeting. CUW is currently ranked #1 in the MLC with an undefeated 6-0 conference record and an 8-3 overall stance. Statistically, the Falcons have six players with double-digit goals scored as Keijo Day and Stephen Gregory lead the way with 20 goals apiece. Averaging 9.55 ground balls per game, the Utah native also ranks 13th among Division III, in that respective category. Among the Cougars, Dumas leads his squad with 105 ground balls and also has an impressive team-high 14 assists. Liskey's Mask... With big expectations coming into his sophomore year, it took just one week for Jack Liskey to reclaim his throne. The week-two MLC Defensive Player of the Week has combined for 159 saves this season, ranking first among the Midwest Lacrosse Conference. During his four wins in net this season, Liskey has already become the winningest keeper in CUC's program history, along with helping the Cougars compete in their first ever overtime contest, earning the team's first MLC weekly honor and scoring his first collegiate career goal. Currently, Liskey ranks 26th nationally, averaging 14.45 saves per game and 56th for his .570 save percentage.
