RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- The Amercian Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the winners of the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award which featured the Concordia University Chicago Women's Volleyball team for the third consecutive year.
To be eligible for the AVCA Team Academic Award teams must have maintained a year-long GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. This is the fifth time the Cougars have been recognized for the Team Academic Award overall. The Cougars have earned this recognition in 2025, 2024, 2023, 2019, and 2011. This year the Cougars boasted a cumulative GPA of 3.51 with 10 student-athletes earning Dean's List for the spring semester and 13 student-athletes earning Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Scholar-Athlete accolades. This is the second team academic award the Cougar Women's Volleyball program has won this year after earning the CUC Team Academic Award at the annual end-of-year banquet "The Charlies". The Cougars are one of nine teams in the NACC to earn this team award.
