st. The Cougars opened NACC play against Edgewood College on March 29. It was a close match that ended in heartbreak, as CUC fell 4-3.

Loveshe scored the final point at fourth singles, 6-3, 6-1.
The Cougars returned to NACC play on Apr. 12 against Concordia University Wisconsin, when the team lost 7-0. The next day, CUC played Wisconsin Lutheran College and fell 4-3, despite winning Smith, Bullens, and Loveshe winning their singles matches. The Cougars finished out the season with a 7-0 loss to Illinois Institute of Technology.
CUC finished the season with an overall record of 1-12 and a conference record of 0-6.
Impactful Returners
With no student-athletes slated to graduate this year, the Cougars will have a strong foundation to work with next year.
Both core members of the Cougars' lineup, Loveshe and Bullens will head into their senior season next year as having recorded the most singles wins this season with four and three each, respectively. Smith will come back for his sophomore season also having picked up three wins this season. Stringer and
Joshua Gustafson (Merrill, Wis.) were the other two Cougars who picked up multiple singles wins throughout the season, with two each.
As for CUC's doubles teams who won at least one match, all of them will have a chance to be paired up again next year. The duos of Dickey & Leal and Bullens & Pelzek led the Cougars with two doubles wins each, while Gustafson & Smith won one match this past season.
