New week brings new contests for Cougars

Women's soccer faces two road matches this week

After a tough week of contests for the Concordia University Chicago women's soccer team (1-3), they look to rally in a new week of matches.

Coming off a loss to MSOE on Senior Day, the Cougars look to take on University of Dubuque (1-0) on Wednesday evening, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.  Dubuque's matchup with Concordia marks their second game of the season, after pulling the win over fellow NACC member Benedictine.  The Cougars' lone win of the season also came from Benedictine, where senior Cecilia Kochanek (Streamwood, Ill.) scored her second goal of the season.  In their win over Benedictine, Dubuque proved to be dominant on the offensive end, taking around 21 shots per game which is well above the Cougars' average.

Heading down the street for a Sunday afternoon matchup, the Cougars will take on Dominican University for the second time this year, with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.  In the first game of the Division Street Rivalry back on March 10th, the Cougars fell to the Stars 5-1, while Kochanek netted her first goal of the season.  The Cougars have progressed quite a bit in their offensive attacks since their first matchup against the Stars, and will look to continue to be a bigger presence on the field

Live streams will be available for both matches and can always be found at cucougars.com.
