River Forest, Ill. -- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its 2021 women's volleyball postseason awards on Thursday afternoon, with Concordia University Chicago's Isabelle Vernengo (Plainfield, Ind.) earning an honorable mention.
The sophomore setter was crucial in the Cougars' offensive attack all season long, leading the team with 894 assists. Her 894 assists and 8.75 assists per set both ranked second in the conference. Vernengo was also a very efficient server, finishing third on the team with 37 service aces. The 37 service aces were the 16th most in the conference. Those numbers translated to a lot of scoring, as she finished fifth on the team with 99 points. She appeared in all 28 of the Cougars' matches and was third on the team in sets played with 103.
CUC Athletics is proud of the well-deserved recognition of Vernengo for her excellent performance throughout the 2021 season.
