RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Concordia-Chicago women's lacrosse team (5-4, 4-3 MWLC) will look to advance in the win column this afternoon, as the Cougars are slated to take on Cornell College in Iowa.

Last Time Out...The Cougars had a tough loss to Aurora last week, falling 13-7 on the road.
Sandra Acevedo got CUC on the board early, but the Spartan attack was relentless all the way through. Getting out-shot 27-19, Concordia-Chicago struggled to keep up with Aurora.
Emily Cyrwus had one of her best performances of the season, going 2-for-2 on free position shots and finishing the day with four goals and one assist.
One-Two Punch... Fourth year student-athletes
Anna Kellar and
Sydney Fuller are the complete package for Concordia-Chicago's lineup.
Between the two, Kellar and Fuller have combined for 81 of CUC's 141 total points. Kellar leads the squad with 41 goals and Fuller leads in assists with 25. In the MWLC, Kellar is second in total goals and Fuller leads the conference with her 25 assists.
By the Horns... The Cornell College Rams are 3-5 on the year overall, and remain winless in MWLC play. Offensively, the Rams have just two goal scorers with 10+ goals on the season, led by Barbie Becker who has 21 goals, five assists and 26 total points. With her scoring totals, Becker leads Cornell in all three scoring categories. Between the pipes, Sierra Harris and Maddie Althoff have shared time fairly evenly. Between the two, the netminders average a 41.4 save percentage and 10.62 goals allowed per game.
