RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- With a .500 record in tact, the Concordia-Chicago men's lacrosse team will look to add to the win column this weekend, hosting Marian University inside Concordia Stadium.

Last Time Out...The Cougars dropped a tough one Wednesday night, falling 9-6 to University of Dubuque after getting shut out in the first and final quarters of play. The Spartans' offense out-shot CUC 46-31 on the day, while the Cougars struggled to capitalize on seven different man-up opportunities.
Boston Dumas was near perfect from the face off circle, winning 15-of-17 face offs for CUC.
Scouting Marian... The Sabres average 13.14 goals per game, allowing them to hold a 5-2 record, currently. Marian is 1-1 in MLC action, after falling 15-4 to Benedictine before winning 6-2 over Monmouth College, in back-to-back contests. Four different Sabres have 10 or more goals for their squad, with Garrett Houlihan leading the way with 14. Rookie Colt Robertson leads the team with 25 points off 13 goals and 12 assists.

Nick Fiske recorded his first career points last week against Fontbonne, as the rookie finished the day with a hat trick, including the game-winning goal. Four different Cougars lead CUC's offense in different ways, with

Boston Dumas,
Hunter Combe and
Jordan Loeffler all having 12 or more goals scored and at least four assists each.
Do It Like Dumas... Freshman
Boston Dumas has had a stellar start to his career over the first eight games of the season, with the rookie leading from the face off circle and winning 106 out of 159 face offs. Dumas' face off percentage (.667) is good for the top 40 nationally, among Division III lacrosse and first in the MLC. The Utah native currently leads the team with 79 ground balls and is 18th in the country with 9.43 ground balls per game. After scoring eight goals and one assist against Cornell, Dumas shattered CUC's record for most goals and points scored in a single game. He now ranks among the top 10 in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference for total goals thus far on the season.
