RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- After a 1-1 week, the Concordia-Chicago women's lacrosse team will return to the field tomorrow afternoon to take on University of Northwestern (MN) for a midweek MWLC matchup.

Last Time Out... When CUC last took to the field, the Cougar offense got going early taking a 5-3 lead over MWLC foe, Beloit College. With Concordia-Chicago heading into halftime with a two-goal lead, the Bucs bounced back and outscored CUC 7-4 over the final half of play to win it 10-9. Graduate student
Anna Kellar tallied five goals and one assist, bringing her weekly total to 12 goals and 15 points. Keeper
Alexis Gandhi finished with 11 saves, including several point-blank stops off free position shots.Â
Guess Who's Back... Despite completing her undergraduate degree last spring, graduate studentÂ
Anna Kellar returned to the field for the Cougars in 2019 for her final season of eligibility. In her tenure, the Collinsville, Ill. native has combined for 120 goals and currently holds the program record for career goals. A threat all across the field, Kellar has also won 104 draw controls for the maroon and gold, while causing 82 turnovers. Last week, in a win over Loras College, Kellar scored seven goals and two assists, tying her own program record for most points scored in a single season.Â
All-Time vs. the Eagles... The Cougars are just 0-1 all time against Northwestern (MN), with the two teams last meeting in March of 2016. At that time, CUC lost just 12-10 to the Eagles with

Sydney Fuller each scoring four, three and two goals, respectively. This season, Northwestern (MN) is 2-1 on the season and 1-1 in MWLC play. Eagle Talia Sherry leads her squad with 15 goals and nine assists through the first three games of the year.Â

Sydney Fuller has been a steady hand for the CUC women's lacrosse program throughout her tenure. In the first four games of her final season, the Indiana native is second on the team in points (19), off 15 assists and four goals. In her career, she currently has 76 total assists and will look to beat her own record for most assists in a season, which she previously set in 2018 with 39.
