Box Score March 21, 2018 - The second of a five-game road swing for the Concordia-Chicago men's lacrosse team took them to Angola, IN on a frigid Wednesday afternoon for a contest against Trine University. The chill did little to slow down a hot Thunder team who dispatched CUC by a final score of 25-0.
Trine spread out their scoring with six goals in each of the first three quarters and seven in the fourth. Eric Peat put the hosts on the board just 51 seconds after the opening face-off, and Jordan Lelito made it a 2-0 game three minutes later. However, it was Nick Maher who had the big day for Trine, netting five goals and assisting on three others.
The Cougars did not have many chances to score on the day, as they were credited with just five shots.
Hunter Combe took three shots, while
Jordan Loeffler and
David Echevarria recorded one each.
Jack Liskey faced a barrage of shots fro the Thunder, making 11 saves.
The Cougars (1-6) will return to action next Wednesday, March 28 when they play a night game at Hope College in Holland, MI.
