Marche Smith (Oak Park, Ill.) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Jan. 31-Feb. 6.

           

Smith led the Cougar women in their Feb. 5 game against Maranatha Baptist Bible College with 23 points including 11-12 shooting from the free throw line. Smith also added eight rebounds and four steals in her 39 minutes of play. In the last seven games, Smith has averaged 25.7 points and has boosted her career total to 1,797 points.

 

Smith, the daughter of Charles Bolden and Charlette Smith, is a 2007 graduate of Trinity High School in River Forest. She is a senior sports management major.
