Charles Gordon (Chicago, IL) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of Jan. 23-29. He is honored for his efforts in securing a place on the all-tournament team at the 61^st annual Concordia Invitational Tournament.
           
Gordon averaged 19.7 points and shot a blazing 25-32 (78 percent) from the field in the Cougar men’s three games last week. Included in his week was a second-half performance against Concordia Wisconsin Jan. 27 in which he shot 9-9 in the second half and scored 19 points. Gordon’s final basket of the night came with eight seconds left and put the Cougars in position to win the game until the Falcons stole the victory in the final 2.5 seconds. Gordon also had 26 points against Concordia Ann Arbor Jan. 28 and 14 points in a key win over conference rival Dominican University Jan. 25.
           
Gordon, the son of Lucrisha McAllister, is a 2006 graduate of Lane Tech High School in Chicago. He is a senior business management major.
