Brian Musielak (Chicago, IL) of the baseball team is honored for May 8-14.
Musielak pitched in relief in both of the Cougars’ games against Concordia University Wisconsin in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament. Musielak threw the final 1 2/3 innings in the May 12 contest, shutting down an eighth-inning rally by the Falcons prior to the Cougars’ winning rally in the bottom of the inning. The right-hander followed with a six-inning stint on May 13 and held the Falcons to just two runs while protecting the lead. For the season, Musielak is 8-1 with four saves and a team-low 2.31 earned run average.
???????Musielak, the son of Mark and Debra Musielak, is a 2014 graduate of Brother Rice High School in Chicago, IL. He is a junior marketing major.
