Charles Gordon (Chicago, IL) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of Jan. 16-22.
           
Gordon averaged 20.3 points over the Cougar men’s 2-1 week last week and contributed directly to the two victories. In the Jan. 17 win over Aurora University, he scored the go-ahead basket at the two-minute mark and tallied five of the Cougars’ final 10 points. In the 64-56 win over Marian University Jan. 21, he scored the go-ahead basket with 2:20 remaining and was responsible for seven of the team’s final 11 points.
           
Gordon, the son of Lucrisha McAllister, is a 2006 graduate of Lane Tech High School in Chicago. He is a senior business management major.
