Ripon, Wis. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's track and field competed in Day 1 of the NACC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Cougars showed off their strengths and gave some notable performances. CUC currently sits fifth in the standings with 11 points.

Notable Performances
- Korey Randle (East Moline, Ill.) took second in the triple jump with a leap of 14.18m.
- Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) began competing in the heptathlon. He finished fifth with a leap of 6.24m in the heptathlon long jump. Cardwell also finished sixth in the heptathlon 60m with 7.42.
- In the 60m prelims, Kamren Hannah (El Paso, Texas) and Henry Jones (Atlanta, Ga.) both qualified for the finals tomorrow. Hannah finished fifth with a time of 7.07 while Jones took seventh with a season best time of 7.08.
- Tremain Dockery (Chicago, Ill.) set a new personal best of 7.22 in the 60m.
- The distance medley relay team of  Nathaniel Hernandez (Harwood Heights, Ill.), Jamel Goins (Columbus, Ohio), Donovan Depakakibo (Norridge, Ill.), and Gael Arroyo (Cicero, Ill.) finished sixth with a time of 11:08.69.
- Dayton Merli (Union Mills, Ind.) recorded a mark of 3.75m in the pole vault.
