KENOSHA, WIS.- The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's track and field competed in the Tadd Metzger Invite/Muti, hosted by Carthage College. The Cougars showcased their grit through picking up multiple personal records and top performances.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Kamren Hannah (El Paso, Texas) secured first with a time of 6.62 in the 55m. He also finished second in the 200m with a time of 23.18.
- Gael Arroyo (Cicero, Ill,) placed third in the 3000m with a new personal best time of 9:23.56 and finished third with a new personal record of 1:28.81 in the 600m.
- Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.) secured a top three finish in the 200m with a time of 23.37.
- Dominic Carlson (Loves Park, Ill.) finished third in 5000m with a time of 16:59.52.
- Brandon Montford (Fairburn, Ga.) finished sixth in shot put with a throw of 12.71m.
- Korey Randle (East Moline, Ill.) leapt 6.54m to claim sixth place in long jump.
- In the heptathlon, Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished fifth with a score of 3,574. He set a personal best time of 6.99 in the 55m.
PERSONAL RECORDS
- Julian Switzer (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) picked up a new personal record in the 55m with a time of 6.74, finishing fifth.
- Jonah Winkelman (Plano, Ill.) recorded a personal record of 26.37 in the 200m and leapt for a new personal best of 12.12m in triple jump.
- Darius Strother (Joliet, Ill.) set a new personal record in triple jump with a leap of 11.88m.
