CHICAGO, Ill. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's track and field team competed at the Heenan Invitational, hosted by North Central College (NCC). The Cougars competed strongly, setting multiple personal records.
Notable Performances
Madison Hipshire (Riverview, Mich.) finished fifth in the 400m with a time of 1:06.07. Less than a second behind was
Ashley Vasquez (Riverside, Ill.) with a time of 1:06.30.
Noor Sammour (Berwyn, Ill.) and
Harmonie Cooper (Chicago, Ill.) finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the high jump. Sammour recorded a mark of 1.50m while Cooper recorded a mark of 1.45m.
In the long jump,
Kirsten Bockhorst (Union, Mo.) and
Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.) finished sixth and seventh, respectively, with leaps of 4.80m and 4.70m, respectively.
Cougar Personal Records
Devyn Woywod (Berwyn, Ill.) secured two personal bests. She recorded a time of 12.41 in the 60m hurdles and a leap of 3.81m in the long jump.
Romiya Charleston (Detroit, Mich.) ran a 9.26 in the 60m.
In the 400m,
Addi McKee ran a personal best of 1:09.94.
Rose Losey (Royal Oak, Mich.) set a personal best of 6:05.86 in the mile.
