JOLIET, Ill. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's track and field team sent two athletes to compete at the Fighting Chance Invite, hosted by University of St. Francis. The Cougars excelled, with
Noor Sammour (Berwyn, Ill.) breaking the school record in the high jump.
Notable Performances
- Sammour shined in the high jump, posting a leap of 1.58m to finish eighth. This broke the 37-year-old record of 1.57m, previously set by Davina Polk in 1989 and matched in 1993 by Ruppert. Sammour also finished ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.01m.
- Kirsten Bockhorst (Union, Mo.) jumped 4.27m in the long jump for a fourteenth-place finish.
