RIVER FOREST, ILL. – Three members of the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's volleyball team earned postseason accolades from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in
Tyler Holubek (New Lenox, Ill.),
Elijah Mosher (Clayton, Ohio), and
Alexander Ford (Skokie, Ill.).
Holubek picked up NACC All-Conference First Team after leading the offensive charge with 323 total kills on the season. He accumulated 361 total points in his 79 sets played. He also added in 15 assists and 14 service aces. On the defensive side of things, Holubek collected 39 total blocks and 173 digs. Holubek finished first in the NACC in total points, second in total kills and kills per set, and 15
th in digs. This is Holubek's third postseason accolade after collecting First Team in 2023 and Honorable Mention in 2022. Holubek closes the season still as a NACC record holder after collecting 379 kills in the 2023 season, securing his spot in the NACC Record Book for single-season kills.
Mosher picked up his first NACC accolade as NACC All-Conference Second Team with an impressive 1,002 total assists. Mosher averaged 9.63 assists per set, breaking CUC records in the process. Mosher tallied 109.5 total points on the year with 72 kills and 13 service aces. On the defensive side, he picked up 262 digs and 45 total blocks in his 104 sets played. Mosher finished first in the NACC in total assists, second in assists per set, and sixth in digs and digs per set.
Ford also picked up his first NACC accolade as NACC All-Conference Honorable Mention. Ford led at the net for the Cougars with a team-high 80 total blocks. Ford also collected 220 points on the season with 164 kills and ten service aces. Ford finished seventh in the NACC in total blocks, eighth in blocks per set, and 21
st in hitting percentage.
The Cougars rounded out their season with a loss in the NACC Quarterfinals, closing the season with a record of 12-15 overall and a NACC record of 6-6.
