DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.- For the second consecutive year, the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) cheer team took the stage to compete in the Advanced All-Girl Division III finals.
Coming into their finals performance with an event score of 17.675 after their preliminary round performance, they would have some work to do to catch up to their next ranked opponent. Making their way back to the Bandshell for finals, the team took the stage and went to work. Only receiving one deduction, they relied on an increase in their raw score to help push them closer to the gap, but they would fall short from jumping ahead by less than .5 points. Regardless, the Cougars close their season ranked fifth in the nation after battling some fierce competition in the division.
This concludes the 2024-25 season for CUC Cheer after a long awaited return to the stage with back-to-back finals appearances. Coverage and updates about CUC Cheer in the offseasn can be found at cucougars.com and on Instagram @CUCCheer.
