MILWAUKEE, WIS. --- The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) track and field team traveled up to Wisconsin Lutheran College for the Green & White Invite. On the men's side, the sprinters saw a handful of high finishes across the board.
Notable Cougar Performances:
- Henry Jones IV (Atlanta, Ga.) took home gold on the 100m finals with a time of 11.08 seconds which is a new PR. Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.) was right behind him with a second place finish with a time of 11.10 seconds, which is also a PR
- Knight would end up taking first in the 200m with a time of 22.07 seconds, another PR on the day. Trailing him was Jones in third place, his time of 22.60 is also a new PR for him. Joining them was Miguel Sanchez (San Antonio, Texas), finishing seventh in this race
- William Leonard (Oskaloosa, Iowa) had a sixth place finish in the 10,000m at 37:32.71, which is a new PR for him
- Also adding to Knight's tremendous day, he placed fourth in the high jump
- Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed fifth in triple jump, as well as Jayden Taylor (Southfield, Mich.) in sixth in the long jump
Cougar Personal Records:
- John Cano (North Riverside, Ill.) secured a new PR in the 100m with a time of 12.18 seconds
- Adrian Mendez (Plano, Ill.) had two new PRs today, in the 200m with a time of 25.14 second and in the 400m with a time of 54.35 seconds
- Cardwell made a new time in the 400m at 53.04 seconds
- In the distance races, Mauricio Xochitecatl (Carol Stream, IL) picked up a new PR in the 5000m at 16:47.76
- Travon Thomas threw a new mark in discus at 30.96m
