LISLE, Ill. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's track and field team kicked off its home meet, the Cougar Invite. The Cougars headed to the campus of Benedictine University for the throwing events, where they shined with podium finishes and personal bests.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Brandon Montford (Fairburn, Ga.) secured second place with a new season best in the shot put with a throw of 13.20m.
• Elias Likens (Richland, Mich.) slipped into the top 10 of the shot put, finishing ninth with a mark of 10.22m.

 
COUGARS PERSONAL RECORDS

• Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) hit a new personal best in the shot put with a throw of 9.66m and a season best in the javelin with a throw of 31.36m.
• Likens finished sixth place in discus with a new season best with a throw of 33.67m.
