WAUWATOSA, WIS.- The Concordia Chicago (CUC) men's track and field team raced in the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships Day One, showcasing many notable performances.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) shined in first five events of the decathlon. He placed first in long jump with a leap of 6.26m and third in the 100m with a recorded time of 11.80. Then, with a throw of 9.16m, he finished seventh in the shot put. Cardwell also finished fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.61m, and fourth in the 400m with a time of 55.19.
• With a leap of 13.68m, Korey Randle (East Moline, Ill.) took fifth place in the triple jump.
• Vincent Scarnato (Pottstown, Pa.) raced in the 400m prelims, qualifying for tomorrow's finals, with a time of 50.63.
• Nathaniel Boska picked up a personal best time of 10:34.54, placing seventh in the 3000m Steeplechase.
• Both Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.)  and Kamren Hannah (El Paso, Texas) qualified for the finals in the 100m, recording times of 11.18 to finish fifth and 11.23 to finish sixth, respectively. Following that, both Knight and Hannah qualified in the 200m prelims with times of 22.38 and 22.45, earning both fifth and eighth.
• Jamel Goins (Columbus, Ohio.) recorded a time of 57.57, finishing third in the 400mH prelims and qualifying for tomorrow's finals.

 
COUGAR PERSONAL RECORDS

• Gael Arroyo (Cicero, Ill.) was just shy of qualifying for the 800m finals tomorrow, finishing 10^th in the prelims with a personal best time of 1:59.11.
• Cosby Lux (Landgrove, Vt.) set a personal record in the 800m with a time of 2:11.51.
• Julien Saltos (Chicago, Ill.) and William Leonard (Oskaloosa, Iowa) both set personal records in the 10,000m. Saltos ran a 35:20.86 and Leonard ran a time of 36:26.29.
• Elias Likens (Richland, Mich.) threw a mark of 34.86m in the Discus Throw for a personal best.
