Stevens Point, Wis. – The Concordia University Chicago men's track and field team closed out the indoor season at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship meet while picking up a multitude of All-Conference nods as well as a handful of personal records.
All-Conference Finishes
- Henry Jones IV (Atlanta, Ga.) took home silver in the 60 meters after posting a time of 7.04 to secure his first All-Conference finish. Jones would pick up his second of the meet in the 200 meters with a new PR time of 23.08 to earn him a fifth place finish.
- Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.) would pick up his first All-Conference finish in the 200 meters with a second place finish time of 22.81 to also secure a new PR. Knight would score a second All-Conference finish as a member of the 4x400 relay team to secure a second place finish. Knight's last All-Conference nod would come in his third place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.85 meters.
- Also picking up an All-Conference finish in the 200 meters was Miguel Sanchez (San Antonio, Texas) who bested himself with a third place finish PR of 22.91. Sanchez would score his second All-Conference nod with a third place finish in the 400 meters with yet another PR time of 50.96. Sanchez's last All-Conference accolade would come as a member of the second place 4x400 relay team.
- E'mareion Glover (Saint Petersburg, Fla.) would pick up his first career All-Conference accolade in the high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters.
- The last lone Cougar to secure All-Conference was Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) who placed seventh in the triple jump with a new personal best mark of 12.56m.
- The distance medley relay team placed sixth with a time of 11:12.94 to earn All-Conference accolades for William Leonard (Oskaloosa, Iowa), Gael Arroyo (Cicero, Ill), Mauricio Xochitecatl (Carol Stream, Ill.), and Cardwell.
- Also earning All-Conference was the 4x400 relay team who picked up a second place finish with a time of 3:28.17 to earn Sanchez, Cardwell, Knight, and Vincent Scarnato (Pottstown, Pa.) All-Conference.
Personal Records
- Jayden Taylor (Southfield, Mich.) picked up a new PR in the 200 meters with a time of 24.19.
- Randy Contreras (San Antonio, Texas) earned a new PR in the 400 meters with a 17th place finish time of 55.68.
- Donovan Depakakibo (Norridge, Ill.) secured a 21st place finish in the 800 meters with a new best time of 2:09.20.
- Gustav Strenge (Battle Creek, Mich.) also PR'd in the 800 meters with a time of 2:18.04.
- Also PRing in the 800 meters was Jazael Rodriguez (Berwyn, Ill.) who picked up a time of 2:47.47.
- In addition to his All-Conference accolade, Arroyo earned a new PR in the mile with a time of 4:50.64.
- Leonard also found success following his All-Conference nod with a new PR in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:57.20.
The Cougars close their indoor season with a multitude of personal records and look to extend that into their outdoor season which kicks off on March 28
