ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Competing in the final meet of the 2022 outdoor regular season, the Concordia University Chicago track and field team competed at the Augustana Twilight on Thursday afternoon.
Zahra Sammour had a strong showing as she tried to solidify her spot at the NCAA Outdoor Nationals. The sophomore recorded a mark of 12.00m in the triple jump, which is a new career best. That jump put her in the top 15 in the nation.
Simone Wilson has her spot in the 2022 championships all but locked up. She ran a 1:05.82 in her final tune-up before she tries to defend her national title.
Madeline Bobinski threw in two events on Thursday. She finished with a mark of 13.35m in the shot put and 36.45 in the javelin.
Competing for the final time this season at Augustana were Angelina Nichols, Maximilian Woywod and Jaylen Glass.
