Concordia University Chicago men's volleyball (2-2) looks for their third win in a row on Friday night when they welcome rival No. 10 Dominican (5-1) to Geiseman Gymnasium. It will be the Cougars second crack at a ranked opponent this season, after falling to now No. 7 Benedictine 3-0 in the season opener last month. 

The Cougars swept their last two matches after failing to win a set in either of their first two. The main catalyst in the turnaround has been sophomore Luke Vozenilek (Westmont, Ill.) who set a season-high in kills in back-to-back matches, most recently with 17. 

Junior Virgilio Rodriguez (Cicero, Ill.) has been a dynamic threat for CUC. He scored four aces and 24 assists on Feb. 25 against Rockford and followed that up with nine kills in their most recent game against Illinois Tech. 

Domincan's only loss this season came on the road at Benedectine in five sets. Similar to the Cougars, the Stars have not lost a single set in any of their victories. They bounced back from their loss to Benedictine by sweeping Aurora on Tuesday night, and have been ranked as high as No. 6 this season. 

CUC is still in search of their first victory in this young rivalry, entering Friday night's game with an 0-3 all-time record against the Stars. If the Cougars are to snap this winless streak, the defense will have to play up to the caliber they have in recent games.
