The Concordia University Chicago men's volleyball team (0-1) will be back in action tomorrow night as they take on the Benedictine University Eagles (1-0). This is the first contest the Cougars will host in Geiseman Gymnasium since the 2020 season.
The Cougars competed in their first match of the year at Aurora University on Saturday, losing in three sets to the Spartans. Sophomore Luke Vozenelik (Westmont, Ill.) led the way for the Cougars on offense with 14 kills and is expected to continue making a strong impact in the front row for CUC this season.
On defense, freshman
Blake Rosen (Aldine, Va.) contributed greatly in the back row. Senior Ben Felbinger (Cicero, Ill.) also helps with the front row defense while adding to the team's offense out of the middle.
The Eagles are coming off of a 3-0 sweep of Illinois Institute of Technology in their first NACC contest of the season. Martin Radomska was a leader for the Benedictine in the front row as he registered 11 kills. Chase Olson helped the front row defense with seven blocks while Thomas Morris grabbed 10 digs for the Eagles.
In the Cougars' short three-year program history, they lost both matches they played in against the Eagles. Concordia Chicago hopes to change that narrative in this Tuesday night matchup.
First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. A live stream of the match can be found at
