RIVER FOREST, Ill. --- After battling through the COVID-19 impacted 2021 season, the Concordia University Chicago men's volleyball team enters the 2022 season with high expectations. Under the direction of first-year head coach Ron Katarzynski, the Cougars will begin their 2022 campaign on January 26^th inside Geiseman Gymnasium against North Central College.

Prior to the opening match of the 2022 season, the Cougars will compete against each other in the open door Maroon and Gold Scrimmage on January 21^st inside Geiseman Gymnasium. CUC will then open the regular season with the home opener against North Central College on January 26^th.

CUC then hits the road for the next five, including the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on January 28-29. The Illinois Wesleyan tournament is the first of three tournaments for the Cougars. CUC heads to Fontbonne for four matches on February 12-13. Concordia will also play in a tri-match on March 19 at Cardinal Stritch University.

The Cougars open NACC play on February 11 with a 7:00 pm opening serve against Concordia University Wisconsin. CUC will play home NACC matches against CUW, Lakeland, Rockford, Illinois Tech, Wisconsin Lutheran, and Aurora. The Cougars will play road conference matches against Dominican, St. Norbert, Marian, Benedictine, Edgewood, and MSOE.

The top six teams in the NACC standings qualify for the conference tournament. The opening round of the tournament takes place on Tuesday, April 5, with the semifinals taking place on April 7 and the championship on April 9. The winner of the NACC tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
