RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- In a week full of rematches for the Concordia-Chicago women's soccer team, they will close things out against NACC rival Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday, who they last met in the quarterfinals of the 2018 playoffs.
Setting the Scene... CUC met CUW twice last season, in which the Cougars fell 1-0 in both match ups. The second time around, the two foes would meet in the quarterfinal round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's playoffs where the Falcons managed to convert the lone goal off a breakaway in the 66th minute of play. Game time is slated for a 3 p.m. start time, and complete coverage for tomorrow's contest can be found at

Against the Falcons... Concordia Wisconsin dominates the all-time series against the Cougars, leading it 15-1-1, with CUC's last win coming in 2016. Predicted to finish third overall in the NACC, the Falcons are undefeated through their first six games of the season thus far. With a notable win over No. 17 UW-La Crosse, CUW is currently averaging a monstrous 5.00 goals per game average. Falcon Freshman Karoline Haugland is off to an electric start to her career with 27 points off 11 goals and five assists.
Cougar Update... Senior captain
Brianna Welch has reignited CUC's offense heading into conference play. While the Cougars struggled to produce offensively late in the non-conference season, Welch tabbed a goal against Alma and had the equalizing goal in CUC's 1-1 draw with Aurora on Wednesday. Her two goals in as many games brings Concordia's goal total to eight on the year.
