CUC Heads to Alma for Final Tuneup

RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- In the final stretch of their non-conference schedule, the Concordia-Chicago Cougars will take on the Alma Scots tomorrow morning in Michigan.

Setting the Scene... As the Cougars are winless in the early goings of their non-conference slate, CUC will look to defeat the Scots tomorrow on their home turf. The contest will begin at 10 a.m. (CST), with live coverage available at cucougars.com/coverage.

Scouting the Scots... Alma is 3-2-1 through the first six matches of the year. With wins against Franklin College, Heidelberg University and Hiram College, the Scots have earned all three of their wins in 2-0 victories. Overall, Alma has out scored their opponents 11-7 on the season with Lexi Russell leading the way with four goals of her own. In net, Ally Wentworth has earned all three of the Scots' wins and boasts a .783 save percentage.

Cougar Tape... CUC's junior class is leading the way all over the field so far this season. With 6 goals and 15 total points as a team, every single point has come from a member of the Cougars' junior class. Samantha Goodlett leads the team with three goals and six points, while classmate Cecilia Kochanek has tabbed the team-high two assists.
