April 15, 2019 - The Concordia University Chicago men's tennis team was on the road today to make up an earlier postponement against the Milwaukee School of Engineering. It was a tough Monday for the Cougars as they were blanked by the Raiders 9-0.
Doubles play featured two battles on the courts. MSOE's first team of Luke Nelson and David Chon prevailed over CUC's
Orlando Hayes and
Peter Rios by an 8-2 score. At second, Alec Dam amd Bryan Roob topped
Trey Dille and
Andrew Rodriguez by an 8-1 score.
In singles play, the Cougars' first, third and fourth flights all fell by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Rios was the only CUC player to avoid the goose eggs, although he lost to Chon at second by 6-1, 6-1 scores.
The Cougars (0-5, 0-5 NACC) were also scheduled to play at Edgewood College this afternoon, although that match was a late postponement. It is undetermined if and when that match will be made up.
