Last Time Out... CUC picked up its first two wins of the season last week, taking 4-0 wins over Rockford and Lakeland University.
Kate Sullivan tabbed a goal in each of the wins, while classmate
Aleksia Vranjes earned both shutout wins, the firsts of her collegiate career.Â
Feel the Heat... Alverno College is 4-6 through the season so far, but 0-3 in NACC play. Averaging 4.19 goals allowed per game, the Inferno have struggled offensively in the early parts of conference play but were averaging 4.57 goals scored per game in their non-conference schedule. All-time, the Cougars are 13-1-1 against the Inferno, having not dropped a contest since the 2010 season.Â
Spread the Love... CUC's offense has been well spread this season, with 10 different players finding the back of the net. Leading the charge are juniors
Samantha Goodlett and
Brianna Welch who have each notched three goals apiece. Fellow juniors
Janette Moreno and
Esmeralda Torres have tallied two goals as well, with freshman
Kate Sullivan being the other Cougar to record two goals on the season to date.Â
