Men's Tennis Drops Two Conference Matches

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 April 21, 2018 - The rough times continued this weekend for the Concordia-Chicago men's tennis team as they lost to Dominican University on Friday and Aurora University on Saturday, both by 9-0 scores.
 
In Friday's match at DU's courts in Forest Park, the closest matches came at first doubles and fifth singles. In doubles, the CUC team of Orlando Hayes and Tyler Vincent fell 8-3 to John Mysz and Antonio Morales. In singles,  Aleksandar Utvic and Joshua Sapnu battled through a tight first set that finally went to Sapnu by a 7-6 (7-1) score. Sapnu then completed his win with a 6-1 win in set two.

Against Aurora on the home courts the following afternoon, Hayes and Vincent played their closest match of the season so far, but AU's first doubles team of Jared Burrows and Joe Mascha finally prevailed 8-6. In singles play, the closest was at fourth where Mascha defeated Trey Dille, 6-2 and 6-2.

The Cougars (0-8, 0-5 NACC) will play at home next Saturday, April 28 against Edgewood College and Marian University.
