Sept. 29, 2015 -Â The Concordia-Chicago women's soccer team will put their best collective foot forward on Saturday, Oct. 10 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Cougars have designated the 1:00 game versus Lakeland College as "Pink Out" Day, and all fans are encouraged to show their support in raising funds for breast cancer awareness and research.
"Our team is more than happy to be in this position where we can give something back, especially for such a great cause," said CUC head coachÂ
Chris Brown. "This is an issue that affects all of us, especially in women's sports, and we want to help in any way we can."
As one way to raise funds, CUC women's soccer is selling short-sleeved pink T-shirts that may be worn to the game. Contact assistant coachÂ
