April 26, 2015 – The Cougars traveled to Wisconsin on Saturday for a pair of NACC conference matches that would conclude the men's tennis season. CUC had two tough matches and succumbed to the Milwaukee School of Engineering 9-0 and Wisconsin Lutheran College 8-1.

Interim head coach Alex Brym said, "It was a tough couple of days with the weather forcing matches inside. Overall, the guys worked hard this season. Now that the offseason is here, they are excited to prepare for next season and see what it brings."

The match against MSOE was difficult for everyone. Senior Clinton Bienz (Fort Wayne, IN/Concordia Lutheran) was on the verge of a win in number one singles but fell 7-5, 6-3.

In the afternoon match against Wisconsin Lutheran, the number two doubles team of Ariel Manjarrez (Berwyn, IL/Morton West) and Alex Vieaux (Park Forest, IL/Illinois Lutheran) came out with an 8-6 victory for the Cougars' lone point. The number three doubles pairing of Andrew Menke (Pflugerville, TX/H.S.) and Niko Vercelleto (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) also had a closely contested match but fell 8-5.

There were a number of close calls in the singles competition as Bienz, Manjarrez, and Menke, all pushed their matches at first, second and sixth singles respectively to third sets.

The Cougars finished the season 1-8 overall, 1-7 in conference play. They will bid farewell to two seniors in Bienz and Patrick McIntosh (Tulsa, OK/Tulsa Memorial).
